Larkindale is a town with something for everybody. Just take a look at the activities one can enjoy....

January:
• Melodrama at Larkindale Little Theatre
• Olde English Bountiful Buffet (Bring the family & enjoy traditional favorite foods from our good neighbor across the pond. Music provided by the Larkindale High Madrigal Singers.)

February:
• Firefighter Frolic (Firefighting Demo, Fireman’s Games, Bucket Brigade, Children’s Pet Parade, Craft Bazaar & Fireman’s Ball hosted by the Auxilliary.)

March:
• All Church Easter Sunrise Service at Larkin Lake
• Community Easter Egg Hunt (Eggs hidden by the local Campfire Cadets and Junior Explorer troups. Prizes awarded in four age categories.)
• Larkindale Lady Lasso Queen (Rodeo Queen) & Lasso Lassie Princess  (Jr. Rodeo Princess) Pageant

April:
• Teen Scene Production at Larkindale Little Theatre
• Larkindale Lasso (Sheriff’s Posse Parade featuring Larkindale Lady Lasso Queen & Lasso Lassie Princess, Cowboy Poets, Bull-Riding, Bronc-Busting, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Exhibition Riding, Junior Livestock Show & Judging, Junior Lasso - Greasy Pig Catch, Sheep Riding, Penny Scrambles, Mule Races, Chili Cook-Off & Feed, Food Booths, Fiddle Contest, Dueling Banjo Pickers, Line Dancing Classes & Exhibition, Barn Dance.)

May:
• Larkindale Ladies Legacy Tea & Fashion Show (Event scheduled near Mother’s Day. Themes vary each year, but often feature vintage fashions from a period in the town’s history and always display delicate tea services from the homes of our generous citizens.)
• Garden Show and Tour (Prizes awarded.)
• Botanicals and Butterflies (Natural butterfly habitat in Pioneer Park opens. Daily Wildflower Walks along historic sites offered for the entire family.)
• Memorial Day Parade (Patriotic & solemn remembrance of our brave Veterans.)

June:
• Blocks on the Walk Quilt Show (Quilts displayed on Main Street. Prizes awarded.)
• Larkindale Home Tour (Historic Homes open to the public to benefit charity.)
• Pie Auction & Ice Cream Social (Larkindale’s ladies, plus a few gents, unite and bake pies for charity. Benefits the Larkindale Fire Department.)
• Summer Concert in the Square Series Begins. (Extraordinary local & visiting talent performs to delight the ear at twilight on the River.)

July:
• Fourth of July Jubilee (Pancake Feed, Miniature Golf Tournament, Fun Run & Obstacle Course, Patriotic People - characters in costume expound upon the American experience, Parade, Fly-Tying Contest where the best tied fly catches the judge’s eye, Baking Contest, Petting Zoo, Tractor Pull, Hot Air Balloon Ride, Merry-go-round, Food Booths, Tri-tip Bar-b-que & Picnic, Antique Car Show, “We salute you, America” Concert performed by Larkindale Community Choir, Fireworks over Larkin Lake.)
• Summer Concert in the Square Series Continues.
• Summer Larkindale Little Theater Program Continues. (Children’s dramas featured.)

August:
• Family Summer Sports Spectacular (Annual Fly-Fishing Derby – Catch & Release, William Tell Archery Shoot, Homemade Raft Race on Larkin Lake, All-Church Softball Tournament.)
• Summer Concert in the Square Series Continues.
• Summer Larkindale Little Theater Program Continues.

September:
• Daisy Days - Labor Day Weekend. (Arts & Crafts Faire, Daisy Judging, Carnival, Daisy Pedal - 25-mile bike ride around Larkin Lake, Kid’s Coloring Contest - with & without lines, Crop Art Contest, Dunking Booth - dunk the mayor, Food Booths, Demolition Derby, Daisy Dance in the Gazebo.)

October:
• Old West Founder’s Fest – Living History Days of Larkindale (Traveling Medicine Show, Black Powder Shoot, Mountain Man Encampments, Campfire Cooking Demo, Folk Art, Gold Panning, Tomahawk Throw, Rope Making, Saw Playing, Wagon Rides, Vintage Fashion & Quilt Display.)
• Larkindale Little Theatre Presentation - Historical Play (To coincide with Founder’s Fest.)

November:
• Holiday Theatre
• All Church Thanksgiving Service
• Larkindale Midnight Madness (All stores open until midnight on the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas Craft Bazaar in the Community Center offers beautiful handmade gifts for the discerning shopper. Carriage rides in the moonlight to benefit charity.)

December:
• Christmas Activities - Beginning Thanksgiving weekend and offered TBA. (Tree lighting in the Town Square - music provided by the High School Band, Victorian Christmas: Vintage decorating of all storefronts etc., shopkeepers dress in Victorian garb, Community Caroling, Hayride, All-Church Live Manger Scene, Craft Bazaar, Ornament Making Workshop, Cookie Exchange & Recipe Swap, Gingerbread House Contest, Parade of Lights.)
• Larkindale Little Theatre Presentation – Christmas Theme
