By day, Cathy Elliott is a Library Information Technician at a community college in northern California. But when darkness falls, she morphs into (ta-dah!) - "Night Writer!" An author wannabe since high school days, she’s been writing seriously since 2000 and is a contributing author to Focus on the Family Newsletter, The Upper Room, The Christian Library Journal, Stories for the Teen’s Heart, Book 3, and most recently, A Cup of Comfort for Grandparents. Cathy has also written thirteen children’s books for Perfection Learning, Inc., an educational company. A Vase of Mistaken Identity is her first novel.

She has a gorgeous grown daughter, Heidi, and handsome son-in-law, Eric, who have been blessed with the birth of beautiful Sidney Anne. That’s grandparent territory for Cathy, somewhere she always wanted to visit and doesn't ever intend to leave.

Like the protagonist in her debut novel, A Vase of Mistaken Identity, Cathy is a rookie quilter. She also enjoys hunting for antique treasures and is several years into recovery from her eBay addiction.

She plays guitar and leads music at her church. Whenever possible, she pulls out her violin and plays with a favorite local orchestra.

Cathy holds a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico, and is a member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters In Crime, American Christian Fiction Writers, Quills of Faith Writers Group, The Writer’s Forum, and her local Quilt Sew-ciety.
